ScanJet 3300C/­Cse/­Cxi PrecisionScan LT update - USB only driver for HP Scanjet 3300cxi Scanner Type: Software IMPORTANT: READ THIS FIRST This HP PrecisionScan software update is for customers who have upgraded to Windows XP from a previous version of the Windows operating system such as Windows 98,­ 98SE,­ Windows 2000 or Windows Me WITHOUT removing the operating system from the PC.­ PLEASE VERIFY THAT YOUR HP PRECISIONSCAN SOFTWARE WAS LOADED AND RUNNING PROPERLY PRIOR TO UPGRADING TO WINDOWS XP.­ If it was not loaded,­ you will have to uninstall the Windows XP upgrade and reinstall the scanner software before running the Windows XP upgrade.­ After you have accomplished that,­ download and install the HP PrecisionScan software update.­ If this describes your situation,­ skip to Step 2.­ If you purchased a new computer with Windows XP pre-installed or have completely removed your previous version of a Windows operating system and have loaded the full version of the Windows XP operating system THIS DOWNLOAD IS NOT FOR YOU! This upgrade is only for those who have upgraded the operating system from a previous version of Windows without completely removing that version.­ The full HP PrecisionScan software for your HP ScanJet scanner is not yet available.­ HP suggests using Windows XP - WIA software driver that is built into Window XP until the HP PrecisionScan software for Windows XP is available for downloading or ordering from this Web site.­ The HP PrecisionScan software for Windows XP will be posted here,­ Microsoft Windows XP,­ when available.­ To use the Windows XP - WIA software driver,­ turn off the PC,­ plug in the scanner,­ and turn the PC on again.­ Follow the on-screen instructions.­
